All native widespread reptile species are protected from harm or injury and are material considerations for individual planning applications under National Planning Policy Framework.

At Skilled Ecology we are trained and experienced in undertaking initial reptile surveys and reptile presence/absence and population estimate surveys.

We always look for ways of avoiding impact to reptiles and costly mitagtion. However, if this is not possible within your project we are also experienced in designing and undertaking reptile mitigation including reptile fencing and relocations.

By following standard reptile survey guidelines designed by Natural England and Froglife you can be assured of quality that will satisfy Local Planning Authorities.

Initial reptile surveys can be conducted at any time of year, though presence/absence and population estimate reptile surveys can only be conducted between March and October with the peak times of late Spring and early Autumn.
